Phil Dale

As well as being principal of Phoenix Theatre School, Phil runs Phoenix Theatre Arts, a theatre production company and Theatrical Agency for young performers. Phil recently produced and appeared in Jack and The Beanstalk at The Rhodes Centre, Bishops Stortford which featured a community chorus of young performers, many of whom are students at Phoenix, and he will also be producing and appearing in this year’s pantomime, Robin Hood, at the Rhodes. He is also currently the Projects Producer for Theatre Is.. the Arts Council funded Theatre Company for Young People in the Eastern Region. His work for them includes The It’s Our Theatre project which looks to inspire and mentor young theatrical talent. He was the Manager of Harlow Playhouse from 2001 until January 2008 where he produced and directed over 40 productions including Pantomime, Musicals and Shakespeare. He formed The Playhouse Theatre School in 2002, starting with one class of 14 students. In 2008 the school moved from the Playhouse to its current premises at Burnt Mill and was renamed the Phoenix Theatre School.
Jeanne Stacey

Jeanne studied for a MA in acting at the
East15 Acting School, obtaining a Distinction in 2007. During her
studies she focused specifically on the acting process, responding
to text, voice and movement. Prior to continuing her full-time studies,
Jeanne was Head of Drama at Birchwood School in Bishops Stortford
and was responsible for introducing hundreds of pupils to a lifelong
interest in Theatre. She was co-founder of The Playhouse Theatre
School in 2002 and was responsible for introducing LAMDA qualified
Acting and Verse exams to the School. As a Director, Jeanne’s
credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, Road and Westside
Story. Choreography credits include Jack and the Beanstalk
and Little Shop of Horrors. As a performer Jeanne’s
credits include the title role in Calamity Jane, Ti-Ling
in Aladdin and Mrs Spud in Spoonface Steinberg.
Debbie Hannam

Debbie started her dancing career at the age of 17 as a bluecoat entertainer and dancer. During her career she has been in numerous summer shows and pantomimes and performed alongside a host of celebrities including Ronnie Corbett & Les Dawson. She has cruised around the world performing and performed in front of royalty at the royal command performance. Her TV credits include Eastenders and The Bill and she has also saved the world in a summer show at Thorpe Park. Her stage credits include Anita in Westside Story, Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof and I Love you, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Variety and Cabaret credits include The A-Z of Musicals and Songs That Go Like This. Her choreography credits include Calamity Jane as well as the Harlow Playhouse production of The Wizard of Oz. Debbie was the original Musical Theatre tutor for the Playhouse Theatre School from 2002 until 2008 and is delighted to return to Phoenix in the same position.
Katie Barker-Dale

Katie is a recent graduate of Laine Theate
Arts in Epsom obtaining a diploma in Professional Musical Theatre.
She is a former member of The Harlow Ballet School, The Brenda Taylor
School of Dance and Makin’ Steps in Harlow. For the last four years she has appeared as a principal dancer at The Belfast Royal Opera House in their award winning pantomime.

Wizard of Oz, 2005 (Ozian), Jack and the Beanstalk,
2004 (Senior Chorus), Annie, 2004 (Ensemble), Cabaret,
2003 (Rosie), Dick Whittington, 2002 (Junior Chorus), Westside
Story, 2002 (Minnie) and Cinderella, 1999 (Junior
Chorus). She was assistant choreographer for Oliver!, 2006,
and choreographer for Romeo and Juliet, 2007 and Bugsy
Malone, 2007. Katie currently works as a professional dancer in and around the London area.
Sophie Barker

Sophie is currently training at the East 15 Acting school. Her studies include work on voice and articulation, music, singing, dance and stage combat. Sophie has extensive stage experience; her credits include the title role in the Harlow Playhouse production of Cinderella, Alice in Dick Whittington, Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Oliver! and The Wizard of Oz. Sophie has a grade 8 singing Associated Board of the Royal School's of Music Qualification and was formerly the Primary Drama Assistant Tutor of the Playhouse Theatre School before taking over the main teaching position in 2008.
Faye Linden

Faye has recently graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a 2:1 in Early Primary Education and has since taken a teaching position at a local primary school. She is a former tutor of The Playhouse Theatre School and has stage and screen credits as both production crew and actress as well as completing a stint at Disneyland Paris working in the Character and Parade Department. Another former pupil of The Playhouse Theatre School, Faye has extensive stage experience, including taking the title role in Harlow Playhouse’s production of Dick Whittington. Other stage appearances include Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Robin Hood, The Wizard of Oz, Oliver! and Romeo & Juliet. Faye recently appeared as Jack in The Phoenix Theatre Arts production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Rhodes Centre in Bishops Stortford.
