Measure for Measure

This new production of Measure for Measure by Phoenix Theatre Arts uses an eclectic mix of fast paced performance, AV and a contemporary setting to present the unfolding sequence of events of Shakespeare's play for today. Exploring the exposition of law, punishment and morality, the production is dominated and influenced by very current affairs. Using Shakespeare's original text, this Measure for Measure is a must see for theatre lovers, performance students and anyone interested in the state of our nation.

Measure for Measure is directed by Senior Acting tutor Jeanne Stacey and being produced by Principal Phil Dale. This exciting semi-professional production is touring to three venues, Harlow Playhouse, the Rhodes, Bishop’s Stortford and The Thameside, Grays . Featuring performances from some of our past students who have gone on to pursue a professional training and introducing an ensemble of our current students this will be an exciting production for all to see.

It is our mission to build a school where young people of all abilities from reception age to Year 13, who are dedicated and determined to learn about the craft of performance, can be guided and developed to achieve their full potential.

The Phoenix Theatre School Showcases 2012
