Mission Statement

It is our mission to build a school where young people of all abilities from reception age to Year 13, who are dedicated and determined to learn about the craft of performance, can be guided and developed to achieve their full potential.

We will do this by

  • always employing trained professionals with the knowledge and ability to communicate their specific skills to the students
  • ensuring there is a consistent lesson structure across all classes with clear aims and outcomes for the students
  • planning an appropriate and clear curriculum at the beginning of each teaching year
  • ensuring there is a positive skills progression for students as they move through the Primary, Intermediate and Senior stages of the School
  • providing a safe and positive learning environment where students feel able to create and explore without fear of ridicule or negative judgement
  • seeking to provide the students with a range of opportunities to develop and use their skills in performance
  • establishing a positively challenging attitude to learning where everyone aims to work at the highest level within their class
  • giving those students who show the potential to move into a professional performing career a good foundation of training as well as informed support and guidance

and be part of the region’s most exciting and innovative Performing Arts School
